Jesus is Sending Us

“Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.”
Luke 10:3 (NLT)

Before they leave, Jesus tells His disciples to “remember that I am sending you.” Like these disciples, we are not stepping out and leaving our comfort zones to satisfy our own agendas, but because we have been called and sent by God Himself. What a privilege we have to be the hands and feet of Christ to those around us. There is no greater honor than to be used by God to further the work of His kingdom. Let’s praise God today for the opportunities He sets before us to show other’s the love of Christ, and ask Him to use us to accomplish His purpose. May His will be done and may His name alone be glorified.

Prayerfully,

Madison

Now Go

Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.”
Luke 10:3 (NLT)

go-on-1438770-1279x852 In this verse, Jesus gives a clear and simple command – “Now go.” You may be familiar with the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always even to the end of the age (NLT).” It’s time we take this command seriously and obey. Although these verses are often used to reference foreign missions, we must not forget that every day we live on a mission field that is ready for harvest – NOW. Today, pray that God would open our eyes to the needs of those around us. Ask Him to create an urgency within us to see our family, friends, and neighbors receive God’s free gift of salvation.

Prayerfully,

Madison

Jesus Gave a Solution

“These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
Luke 10:2  (NLT)

day 7 always-there-1314423-1600x1200In this verse not only do we see Jesus pointing out the problem, but He also provides the solution. First, He reminds them who is in charge of the harvest, and then He asks them to pray for more workers. We can be comforted knowing the Lord is in control. He alone has the power to save, and He greatly desires to draw those living in sin and darkness to Himself. Today, let’s be reminded of God’s great love for all mankind and praise Him for His saving grace.  Pray that God will allow us to be part of the solution, and plead with Him to continue to send workers so that His kingdom may grow and flourish.

Prayerfully,

Madison
