To the Glory of God

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31

lake-sunset-1398873Are you a hard worker? Someone who does there best in whatever they do? In I Corinthians 10:31, we are commanded, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” This is something that we often brush to the side and don’t think much of because we get so caught up in things. We must remember that the Lord wants us to be hard workers, and do everything to the best of our ability. We are working for the Lord, and because of that we have to act like we are. If we commit to doing something, the Lord wants us to pursue it to the best of our ability, working hard in all we do as Christ would. Sometimes we have so much on our plate that we just want to rush to get through them so that they can be crossed off of the list. While sometimes that is nice, and less stressful, we aren’t putting our best into those tasks. It is also to recognize your limit and what that is. It is better to have few tasks and do a better job at them than to have a list full of things that you can’t put your time and effort into. Today, I want to challenge you to take a step back, look at your priorities, and pursue them wholeheartedly. Pursue them in ways that the Lord would, and work at it with all of your heart. Your hard work will pay off, trust me.
